About your driving instructor

I qualified as a driving instructor in 1989 and have since run my driving school entirely as sole propreitor.

Although I run my driving school from home in Poulton Le Fylde, I cover all areas of the Fylde coast and also teach in Preston and Chorley when demand requires.

The vehicle used is an Audi A1 1.6 DTi it is converted to operate with dual controls.

My pass rate is above average and presently for this year (2018) is 93%. This does not mean that all candidates have passed first time but  7% have been unsuccesful in passing their driving test. the remainder will hopefully increase my pass rate later this year, 78 % of the pass majority have passed first time.

The overall national pass rate is 49%.

I have  taken a driving instructors trainer qualification which enables me to teach potential driving instructors. I am also a fleet instuctor which enables me to assess standards of qualified drivers who drive for a living.

I have also taken a driving instructors coaching course which carries a BTEC teaching certificate and is awarded by Edexcel.
